How It Works

From First Message to Wheels Up

Four steps from the first message to the aircraft.

01

Send Your Plan

Departure point, destination, date and how many of you are travelling. A rough plan is enough to start.

02

Matching the Aircraft

Jet, small plane, helicopter or seaplane, chosen for the runway, the water and the number of seats needed.

03

A Clear Quote

One price, with what it covers spelled out, from vetted air carriers.

04

You Fly

Arrive at the departure point, walk to the aircraft, go.

Every enquiry gets an answer within 24 hours and usually a good deal sooner.

The Crown Air Difference

Why Travellers Choose Crown Air for Island Charter

Typical Miami to Bimini time

Crown Air was built around a single region rather than a global map. We fly South Florida, the Florida Keys and the Bahamas every day, so our crews know the harbours, the short strips, the customs desks and the weather patterns that decide whether a morning departure actually happens.

That focus changes the way a trip is planned. One team handles the aircraft, the arrival paperwork, the dock or ramp transfer and the villa car and the same person stays with your booking from the first message to the final leg home. Nothing is handed to a call centre.

We operate and charter jets, small planes, seaplanes and helicopters, which means the itinerary sets the aircraft rather than the other way around. A seaplane can put you on the water at Staniel Cay, a helicopter can lift you from a Miami rooftop to Ocean Reef and a jet can carry a full group to Nassau or George Town without a stop.

Every operator we use is vetted, audited and insured and every itinerary is reviewed by a flight planner before it reaches you. Quiet, careful, repeatable travel is the whole point.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Need a Passport to Fly to the Bahamas?

Yes. Every passenger needs a valid passport, children included and a driving licence will not do. Names and passport numbers go in from our side before you leave Florida.

How Far in Advance Do I Need to Book?

About a week is comfortable. That is what the operator needs to check the schedule properly and confirm times and their reservations team goes through the flight details with you 24 to 48 hours before departure.

Can You Land on an Island Without a Runway?

Seaplanes land on water, so a harbour, a protected bay or a lee shore works where no runway exists. Helicopters need a cleared area rather than a strip. Which of the two fits depends on the island and we say so before you book.

Can I Book a Single Seat Instead of the Whole Aircraft?

Yes. A single seat on a fixed departure and a fixed route is something we can arrange, alongside charter of the whole aircraft. The charter is the one that holds the aircraft, the crew and the day for your party alone.

What Does a Charter Price Include?

A charter is priced for the whole aircraft rather than per seat, so the aircraft, the crew and the flight are one figure and not a headcount. The breakdown comes with the itinerary, before any deposit.

Can I Bring a Pet on the Flight?

Yes, pets travel in the cabin with you. The one thing we ask is that you tell us at the enquiry, with the type of animal and its weight, so the seating and the load plan are right from the start.
