It is also the reason parties who come for the wildlife would rather have an aircraft that waits: an hour ashore with nobody else on the sand is worth more than three hours shared with a boat tour, and only one of those two is something you can decide yourself.

Eleven miles back up towards Great Exuma, Little Exuma carries the longest beach in this part of the chain, and it is a natural second stop on the way to the aircraft rather than a separate outing. A party on a published return would not attempt both in one day.
