The Abacos
Treasure Cay and Marsh Harbour
The Abacos sit north east of Miami and run as a long chain of cays behind a sheltered sound. Treasure Cay and Marsh Harbour both take the aircraft directly, so this is one of the easiest parts of the country to reach on a single day.
Most parties here are heading for a boat, a rented house on Elbow Cay or Green Turtle Cay, or a long lunch at Hope Town. From either field the rest of the chain is a short ride and a ferry, and the aircraft waits rather than leaves. Eleuthera and Harbour Island
North or South
Eleuthera is long and thin and has three fields spread down it: North Eleuthera at the top, Governor's Harbour in the middle and Rock Sound at the southern end.

Staniel Cay and the Cays Above It
The Exumas are a line of cays rather than one island, and the settlements most people are heading for sit well north of Great Exuma. Exuma International at Moss Town takes the arrival, and Staniel Cay has its own strip in the middle of the chain. This is where an aircraft held for one party stops being a way of arriving and becomes a way of moving.

Bimini and the Berry Islands
Fifty Miles Out
Bimini is the closest piece of the country to Florida, about fifty nautical miles from Miami, and Chub Cay in the Berry Islands is not much further. Both take the aircraft, and both are short enough that the morning is barely spent by the time you land. That proximity changes what a day can be.

Grand Bahama and the Far South
Freeport to Long Island
