The Flight
Helicopter Miami to Palm Beach
Sixty odd miles separate the two ends of this route, and on a bad afternoon the road between them can take longer than a flight to another country. A helicopter takes the road out of the day altogether. It lifts off from the edge of Downtown and the coast runs underneath you the whole way, which is the part of the journey nobody photographs from a car.
The run north is about fifty five nautical miles, and almost all of it is coastline: the barrier islands in a line, the inlets cutting through them, the Intracoastal on one side and open Atlantic on the other.
Off Palm Beach County the deep blue sits closer to the shore than anywhere else on the North American coast, so the edge of the stream is something you look down at rather than something you read about.
Everything between the two ends is ours: the departure point, the aircraft, the crew and the hour it leaves. Your party brings itself and a bag. There is no terminal at either end of this route and nothing to queue for, and what waits on the ground is set up with the flight rather than found on arrival.
It is the shortest run up the coast we fly out of the city. The same island is also reached by small plane, by seaplane and by private plane, and each of those is a different day.
Plan Your Palm Beach CharterHow It Works
How a Helicopter Ride from Miami to Palm Beach Actually Works
A helicopter is not the fast way to Palm Beach. A jet covers the same sixty miles in less time and a car does it for nothing.
What changes is the hour itself: what is underneath you between the two ends, and who is in the cabin while you look at it. What follows is the whole sequence in order, from the cabin and the coast to the ground time and what waits at the far end.
Plan Your Palm Beach CharterThe Cabin
A helicopter cabin the size of a car, and nobody in it but your party
A helicopter carries a handful of people rather than a cabin full, and the seats face the windows instead of each other. Nobody is sitting across the aisle, nobody is waiting for the row behind to settle, and a conversation at the far end of the cabin is still a conversation with everybody in it. On a run of this length that is most of what the hour feels like.
The Coast
Fifty five nautical miles of shoreline at an altitude where you can read it
A helicopter runs low enough that the coast stays legible the whole way. The barrier islands come in a line with an inlet cutting through every few miles, the Intracoastal on the left and open Atlantic on the right, and off Palm Beach County the deep blue edges closer to land than anywhere else on this coast.
From a jet at altitude that is a grey strip. From here it is the reason people book the flight.
The Clock
The departure time is a decision rather than a listing
Scheduled service leaves when it leaves. A charter leaves when you want it to, inside daylight and inside what the crew is legally allowed to fly. That is why a same day return to Palm Beach works at all. If the morning slips, the aircraft waits, because it has nowhere else to be.
The Ground Time
What a helicopter day needs on the ground is booked weeks earlier
The parts of a flight that usually eat an afternoon are the parts nobody books: the slot at each end, the handling, the fuel, and the car that has to be in the right place at the right minute. All of it is arranged from our side before the day, with ground transport priced alongside the aircraft rather than chased separately.
The Weather
Weather is the one thing a charter does not make more flexible
Everything else on this page bends. Weather does not, and we would rather move a day than fly it badly. You hear from us as early as we know, and the flight is rebooked rather than flown. Because the aircraft was held for your party and nobody else, moving it is a conversation and not a queue.
After You Land
What happens on the ground at Palm Beach is arranged before you leave Miami
A car waiting, a table held for the afternoon, a cart for the day: all of it is set up with the flight rather than found on arrival.
On an island where almost everything sits within a few minutes of everything else, that is the difference between an afternoon spent well and an afternoon spent waiting. Tell us what the day is meant to look like when you send the dates and it comes back arranged, with custom requests priced alongside the aircraft.
Departure Points
Departure Points for a Miami to Palm Beach Helicopter
A helicopter can lift from a pad as easily as from a ramp, so the departure point follows your morning rather than the aircraft. These are the four we use in Miami. Select one to see exactly where it sits.
Watson Island Heliport
Watson Island, Miami
The pad on the bay between downtown and South Beach, a short boat ride from the marinas and from Fisher Island. This is the one that turns a yacht day into a flight without a drive in between. Two miles from downtown and four from Miami Beach, so it is also the shortest ground leg for anyone staying on either side of the water.
Opa-locka Executive
Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, OPF
The executive field north west of the city, with private terminal handling and the room a longer charter needs.
Miami Executive
Miami Executive Airport, TMB, Kendall
Kendall-Tamiami in the south west of the county, the shortest ground leg for Coral Gables, Pinecrest and the south of Miami-Dade. A general aviation field, so the walk from the car to the aircraft is short and nobody is waiting on a boarding call.
Miami International
Miami International Airport, MIA
A pickup rather than a base and the right one when the party lands at MIA on a commercial flight and the onward leg should start at the same airport. No aircraft is stationed here, so this one is arranged per flight and confirmed with the operator before it is quoted.
How to Charter
How to Book a Helicopter Ride Miami to Palm Beach
Chartering an aircraft is not booking a seat. There are four steps, and only the first one is yours.

Contact Us
Write to us on WhatsApp or by email. Send your dates, how many guests, where you are coming from and where you want to travel. Tell us the hour you would like to leave.
- 02
Get Aircraft and Prices Back
We check what is free on your date and send what fits your party. Seats, baggage and flight time for each one. You are pricing the whole airframe rather than a headcount, so a smaller group on the same aircraft costs the same as a full one. If more than one aircraft is free that day, you get both, with what separates them written next to the price.
- 03
Confirm and Pay
You pick the aircraft, and we set the pickup point. Then everything around the flight. Catering on board, a car waiting when you land, ground transport to your hotel. Flowers if the day is a special one. You approve it, you pay, and your boarding time, departure point and everything included come back to you.
- 04
Just Arrive 30 Minutes Before Departure
You will have no terminal and no queue. Just make sure you are there 30 minutes before. Someone meets your party at the gate and walks you out, the bags go on while you are still standing there, and nobody asks you to wait anywhere. Then you lift off, run up the coast, and the day starts.
On the Island
Where Helicopter Rides Miami Palm Beach Put You Down
The island is a narrow strip between the ocean and the lagoon, and almost nothing on it is more than a few minutes from anything else. That is the whole reason an afternoon here works without building the day around a car.
What follows is what parties actually do with the hours in between, in the order they ask for it.
Plan Your Palm Beach CharterWorth Avenue and the Palm Beach Vias
Most Asked ForWorth Avenue runs from the lagoon across to the ocean, which on an island this narrow makes it a walk rather than a drive. Most parties do it first rather than last. The shopfronts are not the interesting part.
The vias are: small courtyards that open off the avenue behind archways and are easy to walk straight past. Via Mizner is the one that started them, about eighty five yards cut through to Peruvian Avenue in 1923 by Addison Mizner, who went on to design sixty seven buildings on this island alone.
His first was the Everglades Club at the lagoon end. It was begun in July 1918 as a convalescent home for wounded soldiers, the war ended a few months later, and it opened in February 1919 as a private club instead.
Everything built on this street afterwards followed from that one decision. A party that wants a table rather than a shop books a fly and dine day, and anything outside the usual list goes to custom requests.
The Breakers on the Palm Beach Oceanfront
On the OceanThe Atlantic side is a few minutes' walk from the lagoon side, and it is where most of the island's photographs are taken. The hotel that defines it opened on 16 January 1896 as the Palm Beach Inn. Guests kept asking for the rooms down by the breakers, so it took that name for the 1901 season.
It burned in 1903, was rebuilt, burned again on 18 March 1925, and came back in 1926 as the Italian Renaissance building still standing today: modelled on the Villa Medici in Rome, 569 rooms on 140 acres of oceanfront.
Midtown Beach on South Ocean Boulevard is the public stretch in the middle of the island and the closest one to the avenue. Say whether the party wants the beach or the town when you send the date, because it changes the ground transport rather than the flight.
Whitehall and the Flagler Museum
The Reason It ExistsPalm Beach exists because one man brought a railway down this coast, and the house he built is still standing at the north end of the island on the lagoon side. Whitehall was finished in 1902 as Henry Flagler's home and is now the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, a National Historic Landmark open to the public.
It stands directly on the Lake Trail, which makes it the one thing on the island you can reach on foot from the water without arranging anything at all. It is also the shortest explanation of the place a guest will get in an afternoon. The railway, the hotels and the winter season all came out of the same decision, and the town grew up around them afterwards.
The Lake Trail
Five and a Half MilesThe Lake Trail is a paved path along the lagoon shore, about five and a half miles of it, and it is the best thing on this island that costs nothing. It starts at Lakeside Park by the town docks, runs north behind the houses and past the Flagler Museum, and finishes just beyond the Sailfish Club at the top of the island.
The water is on your left the entire way and the city on the mainland is on the far side of it. Bicycles are hired on the island rather than carried on the aircraft. Most parties ride it one way and take a car back, which is worth arranging before you arrive rather than at the top of the trail.
The Palm Beach Town Docks and the Lagoon
Deep Water BerthsThe Lake Worth Lagoon is the sheltered water behind the barrier island, about twenty one miles long and up to a mile wide, open to the Atlantic at the Lake Worth Inlet at its north end.
The town marina sits at the west end of Australian Avenue, and its berths run along the Australian, Brazilian and Peruvian docks, each named for the avenue at whose foot it sits, with the Royal Palm dock added in the most recent rebuild. It takes boats big enough that the crews are a fixture of the town, and Worth Avenue is a few minutes on foot from the head of those docks.
Where a boat is part of the day, say so with the dates. A yacht transfer and a dock pickup are arranged with the flight, and how the two ends meet is settled with the operator rather than assumed here.
The Palm Beach Par Three by the Ocean
Between Two WatersThe public golf here is a par three course laid out on the narrow strip between the Atlantic and the lagoon, which is a piece of ground almost nowhere else in Florida can offer. Eighteen holes from eighty one to two hundred and eleven yards, three sets of tees on each, half of them along the ocean and half along the Intracoastal.
Raymond Floyd redesigned it in 2009 and it is still a municipal course, open to anyone who books a time. Clubs travel within the payload for the aircraft on the day rather than against a fixed allowance, which is the one thing worth naming early. The baggage guidance explains how weight is counted.
The Four Arts and Bethesda
Quiet and FreeTwo of the quietest places on the island stand within a few blocks of each other on the lagoon side, and neither charges anything to walk into. The Society of the Four Arts was founded in 1936 and its campus on the Intracoastal holds a gallery, a concert hall, two libraries and gardens open seven days a week at no charge.
Bethesda-by-the-Sea on South County Road keeps its gardens open daily in the same way. They are the answer to the hour between lunch and the flight home, and they are the reason an afternoon here does not have to be a shopping afternoon. Anything the party wants built around them goes to custom requests.
The Winter Season
November to AprilThe island has around nine thousand full time residents and roughly twenty five thousand people in the winter season, which runs from November to April.
Those are the months when the tables are booked, the hotels are full and the road up from Miami is at its worst, which is exactly when an hour in the air stops being an indulgence and becomes the short way here. Out of season the island is quiet and the coast on the way up looks the same.
A date inside that window is worth sending early rather than late. A proposal, a milestone or a wedding gets the return leg moved into the light, and the packaged version of the day is the Palm Beach getaway day trip.

In Detail
Helicopter from Miami to Palm Beach: The Barrier Chain, the Inlets and No Terminal Either End
Everything above is the day. What follows is the detail behind it: what the coast looks like from a few hundred feet, who is in the cabin while you look at it, what is taken off your hands on the ground, and why most of these flights exist because of a date. The same aircraft also runs to West Palm Beach.
Helicopter Miami to Palm Beach: Glass to the Floor Above the Reef Line
A helicopter Miami Palm Beach flight is a small cabin and big glass
Most aircraft ask you to look past somebody else to see anything. This one does not. The cabin holds your party and the crew, and that is the whole list. No aisle to share, no row in front to look over, nobody whose window seat you are sitting behind. For a proposal or a birthday, the difference between private and nearly private is the whole thing.
The glass is why people pick this aircraft over a faster one. The heliport sits about two miles from Downtown and four from Miami Beach, and from there the run north is around fifty five nautical miles of shoreline: the barrier chain, an inlet every few miles, and off Palm Beach County a reef line and a deep blue edge that lie closer to land than anywhere else on this coast.
There is no terminal at either end, and what you bring is weighed with the party instead of counted against a rule.
Helicopter Ride from Miami to Palm Beach: Jupiter Seventeen Miles North, Boca Raton Twenty Five South
An arrival by air puts Palm Beach county inside one afternoon
A short arrival is not about the minutes it saves. It is that the day has not started badly. An arrival by air puts the whole county inside an afternoon rather than a day. West Palm Beach is a little over a mile across the lagoon, the Lake Worth Inlet is about five miles up, Jupiter is roughly seventeen miles north and Boca Raton about twenty five south.
That matters because it decides what the day can hold. A car held for your party, a table booked for the afternoon, a cart for the island itself: all of it is set with the flight rather than found on arrival, with ground transport priced alongside the aircraft.
Where the aircraft actually sets down depends on the permissions in place on the day, so it is settled with the operator when you book rather than promised here.
Miami to Palm Beach Helicopter: We Arrange the Ground Time and the Hour Stays Yours
Our crew books the Palm Beach slot, the fuel and the car
Flying privately does not mean fewer arrangements. It means somebody else makes them. A flight is a slot, a handling agent at each end, fuel, and a car that has to be standing in the right place at the right minute. None of that is visible when it works and all of it is visible when it does not.
We book it, we confirm it and we hold it, and it comes back to you before anything is paid for. What that buys is the hour. Because the aircraft was held for your party and has nowhere else to be, a late lunch does not cost you the return, and the time can still move after it is confirmed.
If the party changes before the flight, tell us. A name added or dropped is a message to us rather than a problem for you.
Miami Palm Beach Helicopter Tours: Proposals, Anniversaries and the Light on the Way Home
A date in the diary is why most Palm Beach flights happen
Most flights on this route exist because of a date rather than a destination. A helicopter suits an occasion because the arrival is part of it. The run up the coast is what people photograph, before anybody has said why the day matters.
A birthday that leaves late enough for everybody. An anniversary where the catering on board is part of the surprise. Some parties book Miami Palm Beach helicopter tours for the flight and treat the island as the excuse.
A helicopter Miami Palm Beach booking can mean two shapes of day. If the flight is the point, a scenic flight needs no destination at all. If the island is, a Palm Beach day trip is the shape, with the hours on Palm Beach and the extras you asked for.
Questions
Helicopter Miami to Palm Beach: Questions Answered
How long is the helicopter flight from Miami to Palm Beach?
Palm Beach sits around fifty five nautical miles up the coast from the city, which makes this one of the shortest runs we fly out of Miami. A helicopter is not the fastest way to cover that distance, and that is rarely what decides it. What decides it is what the hour looks like: low over the barrier islands, unhurried, in a cabin that carries your party and nobody else.
Where does the helicopter leave from in Miami?
Miami's heliport sits about two miles from Downtown and four from Miami Beach, which for most parties is a short drive rather than a journey. Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach are also possible and have their own pages. Tell us where your party is actually staying and the departure point is picked around that rather than the other way round.
Where exactly does the helicopter set down at Palm Beach?
That depends on the day and on the permissions in place at the time, so it is settled with the operator when you book rather than promised on a web page.
What we hold is the flight and the arrangements around it, and both come back to you before anything is confirmed. If a particular end of the island matters for your afternoon, say so when you send the dates and it is taken into account then rather than on the morning.
Can we choose our own departure time?
Yes, within daylight and within what the crew is allowed to fly. That is the main thing a charter buys you on this route.
The hour is set when you confirm and can still be moved afterwards if your day changes, because the aircraft is not going anywhere else and there are no other passengers to inconvenience. On a run this short a two hour shift at the far end is the difference between a rushed lunch and a full afternoon.
Is anyone else on the helicopter?
No. A charter carries the people you name and nobody else. There is no seat assignment, no other party sharing the cabin, and no risk of the flight leaving without part of your group. The passenger list can also change up to shortly before the flight: a name added or dropped is a message to us rather than a rebooking on yours.
What can you see from the helicopter on the way up?
The coast, the whole way. A helicopter runs low enough that the barrier islands, the inlets cutting through them and the line where the shallows drop into deep blue are all legible rather than abstract.
Off Palm Beach County that deep water lies closer to land than anywhere else on this coast. This is the part parties describe afterwards, and for some of them it is the reason the flight was booked at all.
How early do we need to be there?
About thirty minutes. There is no terminal to cross and no queue to join at either end. You arrive, you walk out and you lift off, and the handling at both ends is arranged from our side before you get there.
Is this different from flying to West Palm Beach?
It is a different destination rather than a different spelling. Palm Beach is the barrier island: Worth Avenue, the Lake Trail, the ocean on one side and the lagoon on the other.
West Palm Beach is the city on the mainland across that lagoon, and it has its own page. Most parties know which one they mean; if you are not sure, tell us what the day is for and we will say which end suits it.
Can we do it as a day trip?
Yes, and most parties do. The run is short, both ends are quick, and the return hour stays movable while you are still on the island. A morning out and an evening back is the normal shape of this route rather than the ambitious version of it.
What if the weather turns on the day?
The day moves. Weather is the one thing a charter does not make flexible, and we would rather move a flight than fly it badly. You are told as early as we know, and the aircraft is rebooked to a date that works for your party. Because it was held for you and nobody else, moving it is a conversation rather than a queue for the next available seat.
How many people fit?
It depends on the aircraft and on what the party is carrying, which is why the answer comes with the quote rather than before it. Send the headcount and the bags at the enquiry and you get back what is free on your date, what each one takes and what each one costs. You are pricing the airframe rather than a headcount, so the cost per person falls as the group grows.
How do we start?
Send the date, the number of guests, where you are leaving from and the hour you would like. You get back what is free, what it costs, the boarding time and what is included, and nothing is held until you say so.
If the day has anything else in it, a car waiting or a table booked for the afternoon, say so at the same time and it comes back priced alongside the aircraft.
Can I bring a pet on a helicopter charter?
Yes, pets travel in the cabin with you. The one thing we ask is that you tell us at the enquiry, with the type of animal and its weight, so the seating and the load plan are right from the start.
